This place is amazing. We make the hour plus drive a few times a year because it’s that good. Not only is the food superb, but we are very proud of the owners for continuing to invest in the business overall. We love the new decor and flexible seating options. If you want a family feast you won’t soon forget, come to Ivoire Cuisine!

How should i start? In french? In English? Or should i first say "Sannu / Sannuko"? Anyway, I enjoy african food, more specifically Camerounian food, and I am familiar with several West African restaurants in the area, such as Songhai Cafe, Ike's African Grill. HoneyStars, African Grill....but aujourdhui , je voulais trouver quelque-chose un peu plus proche de la cuisine camerounaise. Je me suis dit pourquoi pas essayer Ivoire Market and Cuisine. As soon as i arrived i started hearing those expressions I used to hear while I was living in Cameroun. Cela m'a tout de suite mis du baume au cœur. Je me suis installe et ai demande le menu. Je dois reconnaitre que la carte is a little bit confusing....but it will be better next time. I wanted to order beef soya for an appetizer but the waiter told me upfront that it may take at least 45 min. I thanked him for telling me that and I decided to order right away the may dish. I picked the "poisson braise". I also ordered water and a mango juice. Within 25 min, here it came...a nicely colored fish plate with a plate of allocos on the side. Before touching I was unsure if I should eat my food the traditional way (for the ones that are familiar, they know what iI meant?) Or should I eat like a westerner? I picked the latter way, even though I started to eat the allocos with my fingers. I really wanted to eat that fish with my bare fingers....hummmmm. Anyway, the food was good or I should said the food was exquisite....nothing was left on the plate. The fish head was all gone too... like we do "quand on est au village." Next to the restaurant, they have a store where you can find traditional food and spices from Africa. I had to buy some "sel gemme", une bouteille de Maggi en provenance de Cote d'Ivoire et des noix de cola (les deux types: bitter kola et Cola Acuminata). I cannot wait to go there again.
